Gloria Trevisan and her fiancé Marco Gottardi, young and talented architecture graduates from Italy, came to London to find work in 2017 and were delighted when they found an affordable flat on the 23rd floor of the Grenfell Tower. GeM is a memorial fund that provides an annual award to help talented young Italian graduates, interested in conservation, as they were, to come to Britain to study and gain experience.

GeM Charity has funded two young architects from IUAV in 2018 and 2019, and it is now ready to start with a new GeM scholar next Summer. Click here to see what the previous scholars got up to during their time in the UK.

The Scholarship offers a great opportunity to broaden the skills and experience of outstanding young Italian graduates in architectural conservation. It will be a lasting and fitting memorial to the lives and talents of Gloria Trevisan and Marco Gottardi, so tragically lost on the night of June 14th 2017.
