The brickwork at Royal Hospital Chelsea‘s new Activities Space has progressed and the custom ‘special’ bricks, replicating those of the existing Hobbies Building, have been laid. These bricks would traditionally have been cut and rubbed into shape using very soft red bricks. The new bricks, however, have been hand made using custom moulds. The roofs have also progressed with the timber rafters and noggins having been installed over the hall space.

The internal spaces on the ground floor are finally starting to materialise now the internal and external masonry is up to ceiling level, and it is now possible to get a good impression of how the new workshops, halls and other facilities will feel when complete.
