Roofing works are almost complete at our project at Radbourne Hall, Derbyshire.  The images below document the huge amount of work done to repair this historic roof using age-appropriate techniques and materials. Defective lead-sheet was removed and re-sand cast using traditional techniques. Interesting, handprints and signatures from the previous lead workers were found during the project and have been reinstated in the new roof. Thankfully the work was completed under the protection of a temporary scaffold roof to keep the elements out and prevent any water damage to the historic interiors below.
